Terms of service

Last updated: 5 September 2026

Welcome to Maud Mae Mabel. The terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to Maud Mae Mabel LTD, which operates this store and website, including all related content, features, tools, products and services (the "Services").

These Terms, together with the policies referenced in them, describe your rights and responsibilities when you use the Services. Please read them carefully — they include important information about warranties and limitations of liability.

By visiting, interacting with or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Our store runs on a third-party e-commerce platform. The purchase contract is between you and Maud Mae Mabel LTD — the platform provider isn't a party to it and isn't responsible for any aspect of a sale between us.

2. Access and account

You must be 18 or over to place an order, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

An account isn't required — guest checkout is available. If you create one, keeping your login credentials secure is your responsibility, as is activity under the account. You may not transfer, sell, assign or licence your account to anyone else.

You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information — including your email address, billing, payment and delivery details — and to keep it updated so we can complete your transactions and contact you when needed.

3. Our products

We make every effort to represent our products accurately. Colours and appearance may differ from how they look on your screen, depending on your device and its settings.

Descriptions may change at any time. We may discontinue a product and limit quantities available to any person, region or jurisdiction, on a case-by-case basis.

Obvious pricing and description errors aren't binding on us. Where one affects your order, we'll contact you and you may proceed at the corrected price or cancel that item for a full refund.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights concerning goods that are faulty, not as described or of unsatisfactory quality.

4. Prices

All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT at 20%. The total displayed at checkout is the total you pay — nothing further is added, and nothing is collected on delivery.

Delivery is free, and no customs, import or handling charges apply.

The price that applies is the one in effect when you place your order, as confirmed in your order confirmation. Later changes don't affect orders we've already accepted.

Promotions may be governed by their own terms, which we'll show where they apply. Where promotion terms conflict with these Terms, the promotion terms govern for that promotion.

5. Orders and contract formation

The display of products on the site is an invitation to buy, not a binding offer.

Placing an order is an offer to purchase. You'll receive an acknowledgement email confirming we've received it — that isn't the same as acceptance.

The contract is formed when we confirm that your order has been dispatched.

We may decline an order where a product is unavailable, payment can't be authorised, we've identified a pricing or description error, delivery details are incomplete, or we reasonably suspect fraud. Where we decline, change or cancel an order, we'll attempt to notify you using the details provided at checkout.

Where payment has been taken and we cancel, we refund in full.

Cancelling before dispatch: you can cancel free of charge any time before your order is dispatched. Email us with your order number as soon as you can — orders often go to fulfilment within a few hours, so speed helps.

Your purchases are for personal or household use, not for commercial resale or export.

6. Payment

Payment is taken when you place your order, using the methods shown at checkout.

Payments are processed by a PCI-DSS compliant provider, and we don't store your complete card details.

By submitting payment information you confirm that the details are accurate, that you're authorised to use that payment method, and that you'll pay the amounts due at the posted prices.

Orders may be subject to reasonable verification and fraud-prevention checks. If a payment is declined or reversed, we may cancel the order.

7. Delivery

Processing and delivery timeframes are set out in our Delivery Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Risk of loss passes to you when the goods come into your physical possession — or that of someone you've identified to receive them. It doesn't pass when we hand the parcel to a courier.

If your order arrives damaged or doesn't arrive at all, contact us and we'll open the investigation with the courier ourselves.

Delivery estimates are estimates. We're not liable for delays caused by couriers, customs processing, weather or other events outside our reasonable control, though we'll help trace a delayed parcel.

Unless a different period has been agreed, we deliver without undue delay and within 30 days. Where we can't meet that, we'll contact you and you may choose to wait for a revised date or cancel for a full refund.

8. Your right to cancel

As a consumer you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, beginning the day after you receive the goods.

We voluntarily extend this to 30 days. No reason is required.

The right applies after dispatch, and applies to sale items on exactly the same terms as full-price ones.

How to cancel

  1. Email support@maudmaemabel.com with your order number, or use the form in section 9
  2. We reply within one working day with the return address and a reference
  3. Send the goods back within 14 days of telling us

Condition of the goods

You may examine and handle an item as you would in a shop. Where handling goes beyond that and reduces the value of the goods, we may make a proportionate deduction rather than refuse the return.

Refunds

We refund the full amount — including the standard delivery cost — within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or of you providing evidence they were sent.

Refunds go to the payment method used for the original purchase.

Return postage is yours where you've changed your mind; ours where the item is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied.

Full details are in our Refund Policy.

9. Model cancellation form

Complete this only if you wish to exercise your statutory right to cancel. An email works just as well.

To: Maud Mae Mabel LTD, Bridge Street, Cardiff CF10 2EF, United Kingdom support@maudmaemabel.com

I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract of sale for the following goods:

________________________________________

Ordered on: ______________ Received on: ______________ Order number: ______________

Consumer's name: ______________________ Consumer's address: ______________________

Signature: ______________________ (only if sent on paper)

Date: ______________

10. Faulty or misdescribed goods

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

Where they aren't, you have a 30-day right to reject for a full refund. After 30 days you may ask for a repair or replacement; where that fails or isn't possible, you may claim a price reduction or a final right to reject.

These rights apply for up to six years from purchase. Any manufacturer's guarantee is additional protection and never replaces them.

Contact us at support@maudmaemabel.com with your order number and photographs where possible. Where a claim is upheld, we cover the postage.

11. Intellectual property

Our Services — including trademarks, brands, text, displays, images, graphics, product photography, video and audio, and the design, selection and arrangement of them — are owned by Maud Mae Mabel LTD, its affiliates or licensors, and protected by UK and international intellectual property law.

These Terms permit personal, non-commercial use only. Without our prior written consent you must not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, republish, download, store or transmit any material from the Services.

The Maud Mae Mabel name, logo, product names, designs and slogans are our trademarks. All other names and marks on the Services belong to their respective owners.

12. Optional tools and third-party links

We may provide access to third-party tools that we neither monitor nor control. These are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties, and used entirely at your own risk and discretion.

The Services may contain links to websites operated by third parties, including embedded third-party functionality. We're not responsible for examining or evaluating their content or accuracy.

Review a third party's policies before entering into any transaction. Complaints or questions about third-party products and services go directly to that party.

13. Reviews and feedback

You retain ownership of what you submit. By providing ideas, suggestions, feedback, reviews or other content, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, sublicensable, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute and display it in any medium, including for commercial purposes.

You confirm that you own or have all necessary rights to the content, that you've disclosed any compensation or incentive received in connection with it, and that it complies with these Terms.

We're under no obligation to keep submissions confidential, to compensate you, or to respond.

Your content must not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights, contain unlawful, abusive or obscene material, or include malicious code. You may not use a false email address, impersonate another person, or mislead us about the origin of a submission.

We may edit or remove content we reasonably determine to be unlawful, offensive, defamatory, obscene or in breach of these Terms.

14. Errors, inaccuracies and omissions

Information in the Services may occasionally contain typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions relating to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, delivery charges, transit times or availability.

We may correct such errors, update information and cancel affected orders, including after an order has been submitted. Where we cancel for this reason, we refund in full.

15. Prohibited uses

You may access and use the Services for lawful purposes only. You may not use them for any unlawful or malicious purpose; to violate any law or regulation; to infringe intellectual property rights; to harass, abuse, defame, intimidate or harm our staff or anyone else; to transmit false or misleading information; to send junk mail or spam; to impersonate another person; or to restrict or inhibit anyone else's use of the Services.

You also may not upload viruses or malicious code, reproduce or resell any part of the Services, collect or track others' personal information, spam, phish, scrape or crawl, or interfere with or circumvent the security features of the Services.

Where we reasonably believe these Terms have been seriously breached, we may suspend or terminate access. Orders already accepted will still be fulfilled.

16. Privacy

All personal information we collect through the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy.

Because the Services are hosted on a third-party platform, that provider also collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and secure them. Information you submit may be transmitted to the provider and to service partners located in other countries. Our Privacy Policy explains what that means for your information.

17. Website availability

We aim to keep the Services available and working, but can't guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free access.

We may modify, suspend or withdraw parts of the Services for maintenance, security or other legitimate reasons.

Nothing in this section affects an order we've already accepted.

18. Disclaimer of warranties

Information presented on or through the Services is made available for general information purposes. We don't warrant its accuracy, completeness or usefulness, and any reliance you place on it is at your own risk.

Except as expressly stated, the Services and all products are provided "as is" and "as available."

19. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If we fail to comply with these Terms, we're responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach or of our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for loss that isn't foreseeable — including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or business interruption.

Our total liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Our products are supplied for personal and domestic use. Where it may lawfully be excluded, we're not responsible for business losses.

20. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Maud Mae Mabel LTD and its affiliates, partners, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, licensors and service providers from losses, damages, liabilities or claims — including reasonable legal fees — arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or your use of the Services.

We'll notify you of any claim covered by this section. We may control the defence and settlement at your expense, including choice of counsel, but won't settle a claim requiring non-monetary obligations from you without your consent, which won't be unreasonably withheld. You agree to cooperate in the defence.

Nothing in this section requires you to indemnify us where that obligation would be unfair or unenforceable under UK consumer law.

21. Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated by either you or us. You may stop using the Services at any time.

Where we reasonably believe you've seriously breached these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your access. Orders already accepted will still be fulfilled, and amounts properly due up to the termination date remain payable.

Sections covering intellectual property, feedback, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, severability, governing law and privacy survive termination.

22. Severability, waiver and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the fullest extent permitted and severed from the remainder, which continues in full effect.

Our failure to exercise or enforce a right doesn't waive it.

These Terms, together with the policies posted on our site, constitute the entire agreement between you and us, superseding any prior agreements, communications and proposals.

Ambiguities won't be construed against the drafting party.

Assignment: you may not transfer or assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may transfer or assign them, and will notify you where the law requires it.

23. Complaints and dispute resolution

If something goes wrong, contact us at support@maudmaemabel.com. We respond within one working day and aim to resolve complaints within 14 days.

Where we can't resolve a complaint to your satisfaction, you may be able to refer it to an alternative dispute resolution provider. We are not currently a member of an ADR scheme. That doesn't affect your right to bring a claim through the courts, or to seek free advice from Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk, 0808 223 1133).

24. Changes to these Terms

The current version of these Terms is always available on this page with the date above.

We may update or replace part of these Terms by posting changes to our website, and we'll notify you of material changes as the law requires. Changes don't apply retroactively to orders we've already accepted.

25. Governing law

These Terms and any separate agreements under which we provide Services are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be brought before the courts of England and Wales.

If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protection available to you under UK law.
